Confidentiality
Your sessions are confidential within the limits of the law and professional ethics. Information may only be shared without your consent in limited situations, such as risk of serious harm to yourself or others, or as required by law.
Technology and privacy
Sessions are conducted through secure video or audio links. You are responsible for using a private space and a stable internet connection. Recording sessions without mutual consent is not permitted.
Risks and benefits
Counseling may bring up difficult emotions. While many people benefit from counseling, outcomes vary and cannot be guaranteed.
Your rights
- You may ask questions about your counselor’s qualifications and approach.
- You may decline to answer any question.
- You may end counseling at any time.
Agreement
By booking a session, you confirm that you have read this information, had the opportunity to ask questions, and consent to receive online counseling services through SoulsNest.
